Even our government has recognized the need that so many of us have for sound credit counseling and that is why they have passed a law making it mandatory to contact a debt relief company before anyone can file for bankruptcy. A few short decades ago, bankruptcy was the only option for us, but now that we have so many other options that bode much better for our financial future, we need to know what they are. Credit counseling agencies are a great place to start because they are non-profit and a veritable clearinghouse!
